Three Thoughts w/ Pictures, pt. 7 [Evolution]

Our parents are in town so blogging is taking a backseat again.  But, since they’re here, we’re doing some things we’ve put off for awhile.  Turns out, the Museum in Kenya is a bit of a letdown.   I did, however, learn some really important things:

This was almost misleading.

Did you know that there are some major differences between humans and chimpanzees?  One of them that I noticed as I was reading is that chimpanzees don’t go to museums.   I don’t know what that overly sensitive disclaimer is for, but it’s insensitive.

Here’s another fun fact: did you know that football (as in, soccer) players are the origination point of the evolution of man.   That’s what I gathered from this exhibit.

I refuse to believe my ancestors are soccer players.

This exhibit did not have the same sensitivities as the previous one.

And finally, what I was doing a year ago…

Prior to a show at Cap City, with my nephew.

A few weeks ago, I read an online article about how chimps were the closest in intelligence to humans. Why? Because they mourn their dead, hunt in groups, and can pick bugs out of a tree with a stick.

Whoopty-crap. Call me when a chimp can write that article and post it on the internet. Actually, call me when a chimp can create the internet. Then I’ll be impressed.
